Abstract

Background Bangladesh has been recorded to have shown steady progress on the agenda of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); however, there are still challenges that can be noted in balancing policy effectiveness and sustainable sustainability, social justice, and innovation adoption. Even though a strict examination of significant development indicators is a mandatory step towards assessing the progress and revealing shortcomings in the implementation strategies. b. Objectives/Research Questions This research aims to analyze how the influence of policy efficacy, social impacts, sustainability measurements, innovation adoption rates, and community empowerment affect the formation of Bangladesh developmental path. The key questions which will be used to answer this question are: (i) How sustainable are policies in producing sustainable outcomes? (ii) How does innovation and community empowerment benefit the strengthening of SDG progress? c. Methodology The secondary data used in the analysis is based on the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics, Sustainable Development Report 2025 and the SDG Tracker. Preprocessing of data involved treatment of missing data and normalization of data. The trend analysis was done using machine-learning approaches, and the model training focused on regression analysis and classification approaches to determine the association between policy variables and sustainability outcomes. Accuracy, precision, recall and F1-score were used as metrics to assess model performance. d. Important Findings/Discussion/Policy Implications. The results show that, despite the improvement in policy effectiveness over the years there are still gaps in the adoption of innovation and consistency with sustainability goals. One of the strongest predictors of the long-term development outcome has become the community empowerment. The policy implications reaffirm the need to make evidence-based decisions, coordinate innovation policies, and inclusive strategies to speed up Bangladesh development towards the accomplishment of the SDGs."
