Abstract

Students in Bangladesh often face pressure in their academic life, and both family and university support play a big role in how well they perform. This study's primary goal is to assess how institutional and family background influences Bangladeshi undergraduate students' academic and psychological well-being. We used Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the data. Additionally, an evaluation is made of the correlations' statistical significance. The results show that institutional factors strongly influence undergraduate students’ academic and psychological well-being, but family background has a good effect as well. Family background also shapes students’ experiences and even affects how they interact with institutional support. Additionally, the reliability and validity of the proposed PLS-SEM model have been established. The study's findings would have significant tactical ramifications for Bangladeshi university administrators. Undergraduate students and their families will recognize the elements that will significantly affect their academic and mental health. The study will direct the institutional quality assurance cell in universities to implement the necessary steps as well.
