Held on August 01, 2015 at Six Seasons Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh, the Cisco Networking Academy Instructor Conference was a very successful event. Around Fifty instructors from different public and private universities attended the half-day long event.
The annual Cisco Networking Academy Conference offered a valuable opportunity for professional development and peer networking in a one-stop forum designed to help the instructors make the Networking Academy experience even more exciting and meaningful to their student communities.
The Bangladesh Cisco Networking Academy Instructor Conference opened with a fitting tribute to celebrate its rich 18 years history. The conference was welcomed by Professor Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, honorable Pro Vice-chancellor of American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB). Dr. Charles shed light on the importance of technical education to build globally competitive workforce and highlighted the success story of AIUB Cisco Networking Academy.
The first session speaker was Md. Manirul Islam, Director, Continuing Education Center and Network Operations, AIUB who spoke on “Networking Academy Program and Curriculum Updates” and emphasized on the current and upcoming Cisco Academy courses.
During the technical session, Ananth B S, Cisco Systems Technical Manager, Asia Pacific demonstrated Cisco Packet Tracer Activity over WebEx.
Ms. Kalhari Kaluarachchi, Program Manager, Social Innovation Group, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan hosted the Ideas exchange session which gave an opportunity to exchange ideas with Instructors and Cisco Networking Academy leaders.
The program ended with a team lunch and award ceremony where AIUB was awarded in Recognition for ongoing commitment and dedicated service to the program in year 2014-2015.
The day was inspiring and informative alike, creating an atmosphere of in-person collaboration and innovation that will strengthen the Cisco Academy instructors’ community.
