The Faculty of Engineering (FE), American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully organized the 4th International Conference on Robotics, Electrical, and Signal Processing Techniques 2025 (4th ICREST’25) on January 11 to January 12, 2025. This prestigious event brought together researchers, academicians, and industry experts to discuss the latest developments in robotics, electrical engineering, and signal processing.
The grand Inauguration Ceremony was held at the AIUB Auditorium. The Chief Patron of the conference, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna (Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB) delivered the welcome address, highlighting the significance of the conference in fostering innovation and research in the fields of robotics and electrical engineering. Following the welcome address, the General Chair of the conference, Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) provided an insightful overview of the conference objectives and its expected impact on the academic and research community. Prof. Dr. Celia Shahnaz delivered an insightful speech on behalf of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Moshiul Hoque (Chair of the IEEE Bangladesh Section), emphasizing the crucial role of IEEE in fostering advancements in technological research and education. Finally, the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam (Vice-Chancellor, AIUB), officially inaugurated the event with an inspiring speech on the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraged participants to use the conference as a platform for knowledge exchange and networking.
The 4th ICREST'25 achieved remarkable success, showcasing a diverse range of contributions and global collaboration. The conference featured 8 keynote speeches, 1 invited speech, and a total of 16 technical sessions spread across 8 tracks. With 265 submitted papers from 365 authors across 7 countries and 4 continents, the event underscored its international significance. Following a rigorous double-blind peer review process, 96 papers were accepted, with contributions from 32 foreign authors. The conference was supported by 106 reviewers and 27 session chairs, ensuring a high standard of scholarly discussion.
The event concluded with a memorable Closing Ceremony followed by Gala Dinner at the Multipurpose Hall, D-Building, AIUB, marking the grand finale of 4th ICREST’25. This was followed by a series of engaging segments, including a reflection on 4th ICREST’25 Moments, cultural performances and an appreciation video showcasing the journey and accomplishments of the ICREST. The TPC Chair of the 4th ICREST’25, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan (Associate Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) presented the statistics of this conference. After that, Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, presented his special remarks where he talked about the significance of organizing international conference and thanked everyone related to 4th ICREST’25. A key highlight of the closing ceremony was the inspiring speech by Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan (Founder Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB), who commended the dedication of the organizing team and emphasized the importance of innovation and collaboration in shaping the future. His words resonated deeply with the audience and added a visionary perspective to the event.
Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Pro-Vice Chancellor, AIUB) and Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain handed over the Dr. Anwarul Abedin and Mrs. Hasna Abedin Scholar Grants. The Scholar Grants were delivered to winners of Best Paper and Best Presentation based on the judge’s decision. Finally, Vote of Thanks delivered by the organizing chair of the 4th ICREST’25, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all participants, sponsors, organizers, volunteers and media for their collective efforts in making 4th ICREST’25 a success.
Special acknowledgment was given to the GOLD sponsors Dana Group and MEP Group, and other sponsors and supporters, for their invaluable support, which played a pivotal role in the event’s success. Throughout the two-day event, various sessions were held where researchers and experts presented their latest research findings on diverse topics within robotics, electrical engineering, and signal processing. The conference witnessed active participation from AIUB’s faculty members, researchers, authors, along with distinguished guests and industry experts. The engaging sessions and collaborative spirit ensured the 4th ICREST’25 achieved its goal of fostering innovation and advancing research in robotics, electrical engineering, and signal processing.
