A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony was successfully held on 29 April 2026 at the Media Lab, Annex 2, AIUB Permanent Campus at 11.00 am to 12.30 pm. The event marked a significant step towards strengthening collaboration between the Department of Architecture, AIUB, and Archiconnect.

The event was attended by respected guests, faculty members, students and representatives from both organizations. The program commenced with guest reception and informal networking, followed by the opening session and welcome address delivered by Head of Architecture Department, Mr. Arefeen Ibrahim.

The program featured insightful speeches by the Special Guest, Mr. Jalal Ahmed, and the Honorable Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of AIUB, who emphasized the importance of academic–industry collaboration and encouraged such initiatives to create meaningful opportunities for students and professionals.

During the session, the CEO of Archiconnect shared valuable insights into the organization’s activities and its role in bridging academia and professional practice. The Head of the Department of Architecture expressed sincere gratitude to institutions like AIUB for their generous support and continuous encouragement throughout the journey.

The highlight of the event was the formal signing of the MOU by representatives of both parties, symbolizing a shared commitment to future cooperation. The ceremony concluded with a photo session, token of appreciation, and closing remarks, followed by refreshments and networking.

The program was smoothly conducted as per the scheduled timeline by Architecture faculty Ajmeri Nusrat Shoma, reflecting the dedication and coordination of the organizing team.

This collaboration is anticipated to open new avenues for students and professionals, reinforcing AIUB’s commitment to academic excellence and industry engagement.
