As part of the international academic engagement activities in Europe, a delegation from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) visited the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), Geneva, Switzerland. The AIUB delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor, AIUB, and comprised Prof. Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan, Director, Faculty of Engineering; Dr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain, Head, Department of Computer Engineering; and Mr. Abir Ahmed, Special Assistant, Faculty of Engineering.

The visit was made possible through the kind initiative and support of Mr. Abrar Ahmad, Senior Talent Discovery Consultant at SAP, Germany, who arranged and coordinated all logistical and transportation aspects for the AIUB delegation, ensuring a smooth and insightful visit to the historic CERN facility in Switzerland. The visit provided the delegation with a unique opportunity to explore one of the world's leading centers for scientific research and innovation. During the visit, the delegates participated in a series of educational and science-related activities designed to showcase CERN’s contributions to fundamental physics, advanced engineering, and global scientific collaboration. The delegation toured CERN’s interactive exhibitions and visitor facilities, where they gained valuable insights into the organization’s pioneering research in particle physics.
