On Saturday, 21st December 2024, the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully hosted the AIUB Job Fair 2024 in its campus.
The event was inaugurated by Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, AIUB. This flagship event was organized by AIUB’s Office of Placement & Alumni (OPA). Others present at the event were Dr. Carmen Zita Lamagna, Member of the Board of Trustees, AIUB; Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor, AIUB; Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Science, Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, Mr. R. Tareque Moudud, FCMA, Director, OPA, and Directors, faculty members and other senior officials of AIUB.
AIUB Job Fair serves as a bridge for graduating students and alumni to transition seamlessly into the corporate world. Keeping this in focus, Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, AIUB as well as other members of AIUB Borad of Trustees have actively supported and encouraged the holding of such signature events. The university has been organizing job fairs regularly since 2006 and it is a major “academia – corporate” collaboration event, in AIUB’s calendar, involving many leading companies of the country
This year a total of 117 leading national and multinational companies participated in the job fair, representing various sectors of the economy, including banking, IT solutions, telecommunications, networking solutions, pharmaceuticals etc. The participating companies provided career counseling insights to the prospective job applicants and collected their resumes for employment opportunities in their respective organizations. A large number of students and alumni applied to the different companies present.
