The American International University-Bangladesh proudly announces a distinguished national achievement as its law debate team, “Durbar AIUB,” has been awarded the “Most Promising Team” title at the 3rd NILS National Legal Debate Championship (NNLDC) 2026, a premier legal debating platform organized by the Network for International Law Students (NILS Bangladesh).

The championship, held on January 30, 2026, at Daffodil International University, brought together 32 of the country’s most competitive private and public university teams, representing the finest emerging talents in legal scholarship and advocacy. In this highly rigorous and intellectually demanding environment, the AIUB team distinguished itself by achieving the highest overall score, reflecting exceptional analytical precision, consistency, and persuasive excellence.

The team was led by Md. Thahamid All Mahabub Khan Alin, whose exemplary leadership, strategic foresight, and mastery of legal argumentation played a pivotal role in the team’s success. He was supported by Anika Hossain Min and Oysee Uzzaman, both of whom demonstrated outstanding critical thinking, articulation, and courtroom-style debating proficiency throughout the competition.

The NNLDC is widely regarded as one of Bangladesh’s most prestigious platforms for law students, fostering advanced advocacy skills, legal reasoning, and intellectual engagement on contemporary legal issues.
