Team AIUB has become the champion of 16th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition National Rounds Bangladesh 2025. The team achieved this historical victory by defeating 32 teams, coming from different renowned public and private universities in Bangladesh. They will be representing Bangladesh in the regional round at Hong Kong. The event was hosted by Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) on 29–30 August 2025 and organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The champion team consisted of Amanat Ahmed Jihad and Faiyaz Hasan as oralists, and Afia Sejuti as the researcher, under the guidance of their coach, Lecturer Muzahidul Islam of the Department of Law at AIUB. Demonstrating outstanding research, strong advocacy, and analytical excellence, the AIUB team secured the title by defeating Daffodil International University in the final round.

Launched by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition is one of the most prestigious moot court events in the whole world. It aims to promote the study and understanding of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) among the university students, providing them with a global platform to advocate pressing humanitarian issues and to develop expertise in this critical area of law.
