The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), through its Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a vibrant and engaging workshop titled “SDG Avengers: Assemble for Action!” on September 14, 2025, at the Media Studio, Annex 2.
The program opened with inspiring remarks from Dr. Farheen Hassan, Director of AIUB-IQAC, who set the tone for an afternoon of collaboration and forward-looking dialogue. The workshop was later conducted by Ms. Nazia Farhana, Additional Director, AIUB-IQAC. The sessions featured a series of interactive activities, including sustainability-themed games, SDG mapping exercises, and open discussions, that kept the audience highly engaged throughout.
The workshop emphasized the importance of shaping a responsible future, in line with AIUB’s commitment as a member of Responsible Futures International 2024–2025. This global initiative empowers universities to embed sustainability and social responsibility into their core practices, encouraging institutions to prepare students not only as graduates but as changemakers for a more equitable and sustainable world.
The event was attended by the Directors, and Heads of all four faculties, alongside mentors of various student clubs, as well as executive members from those clubs. Their active participation reflected AIUB’s collective approach to integrating sustainability into its academic and extracurricular life.
Lively discussions and contributions from both faculty and students underscored the shared responsibility of building a better tomorrow. The workshop concluded with the introduction of AIUB Sustainability Changemakers, who will take the lead in implementing innovative ideas and initiatives on campus.
This workshop stands as another milestone in AIUB’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability, social responsibility, and quality education, ensuring that its graduates are prepared not just for careers, but for creating meaningful impact in society.
