An MoU was signed between American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and Chandigarh University NH05, Chandigarh-Ludhiana Highway, Gharuan, Mohali, Punjab on Thursday, 26 March 2026 at the Chandigarh University campus, Punjab, India. Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB signed the MoU on behalf of AIUB and Prof. Dr.  Prof. Dr. Rajan Sharma, Executive Director of International Affairs of Chandigarh University, signed the MoU on behalf of Chandigarh University. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Raviraja N. Seetharam and the first Vice-Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Dr. Rajinder Singh Bawa cordially received Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, the Vice Chancellor of AIUB through a grand ceremony of the program “Global Partnership Conclave 2026” in which 40 different University representatives participated.

During the 1-day visit to Chandigarh University (QS world University Ranked), Prof Saiful Islam visited some of the buildings and facilities of the University. Ms. Harpreet Walia of International Office facilitated the visit. The highlights of the MoU are joint research work, Faculty Exchange, Student Exchange, organizing International Conferences and other possible ways of collaboration. Chandigarh University has 530 plus global collaborations with universities from more than 100 nations.

Chandigarh University offers undergraduate, post-graduate and doctorate degrees in Engineering, Management, Computing, Cognitive Sciences, Education, Animation and Multimedia, Tourism, Pharma Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Commerce, Legal studies, Agricultural Science, Media studies, Liberal arts, and Basic sciences.

In NIRF 2025, Chandigarh University ranked 19th among Indian universities. Chandigarh University secured 109th in Asia and #1 among Indian private universities in QS Asia University Rankings 2025 (11th overall in India).

In QS World University Rankings 2026, Chandigarh University ranked 575th globally (16th in India, 2nd among private universities). It ranked 231st globally in Engineering & Technology as per QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025.
