The American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) strengthened its global academic network through the signing of two strategic Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) during its participation at the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025, held from 4–6 November 2025 at Korea University in Seoul.
Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Member of the Board of Trustees and former Vice Chancellor of AIUB, signed the agreements on behalf of the university with Mapua Malayan Colleges Laguna (Philippines) and Shinawatra University (Thailand), two distinguished institutions recognized for their leadership in innovative teaching, learning, and research. These collaborations are expected to facilitate joint academic initiatives, faculty and student mobility programs, and collaborative research projects, further advancing AIUB’s strategic priorities in internationalization and academic excellence.
The summit convened over 1,500 higher education leaders and industry representatives from nearly 160 institutions across the region, marking one of the most significant assemblies organized by QS to date. AIUB’s delegation also included Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor, and Ms. Carlin Noelle, Senior Assistant Professor, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, and Deputy Director, Office of Planning and Development (OPD).
