On November 2, 2019, BUBT EEE CLUB of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) organized a National Robotics Competition entitled "BEC ROBO MANIA 2019”. Dr. Muhammed Zafar Iqbal (Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SUST) inaugurated the competition. Team Hippie and Team Red Ant from AIUB achieved 1st and 2nd Runner-up position respectively in Robo Soccer segment at BEC Robo Mania 2019. Team Hippie consisted of four members named Md. ShahilPatwary&Omme Salma Rahman Mim from Computer Science & Engineering Department, Mohammed Ashraful Alam from Bachelor of Business Administration and Md. Samsuddoha from Software Engineering Department of AIUB. Team Red Ant consisted of two members named Tanvir Ahmed from Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department and Anzir Ahmed Chowdhury from Computer Engineering Department of AIUB. This competition provided a platform for the robotics enthusiasts to showcase their talent and more than 70 teams from different universities all over Bangladesh participated in this event. Both teams’ efforts were acknowledged and appreciated by crests and prize money.
