On June 6, 2024, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) hosted the "Celebration of Capstone Project Completion" event for the Spring 2023–24 semester, supported by the Faculty of Engineering, AIUB. This event took place in the auditorium and lobby of the D-building at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). A total of 15 groups,13 from EEE Department and 2 from IPE Department, presented their projects to the supervisors, external examiners, and other faculty members. Following the successful project defenses, all groups engaged in the poster competition, adding a creative dimension to the celebration. The poster presentation was followed by an enchanting cultural program, skillfully organized by the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC). The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished industrial alumni who meticulously reviewed all posters, offering invaluable feedback and insights.
The event began with an inspiring address by Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Director, FE, AIUB), where he commended the students for successfully completing their capstone projects. His speech was both congratulatory and motivational, providing valuable insights and encouragement. Afterwards, Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan (Associate Dean, FE, AIUB), Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty (Head [EEE], FE, AIUB), and Dr. Md. Ehasanul Haque (Head [IPE], FE, AIUB) showed gratitude towards the honorable industrial judges, who evaluated the capstone project posters, by giving them tokens of appreciation from AIUB. The honorable judges who were present during the event are Mr. Sk Abid Hossain (Deputy General Manager,Bachar Engineering Limited), Mr. Md Mozahidul Islam (Manager,Government & Strategic Business,Operations Division,Axentec PLC[A Robi Axiata Company] ), Mr. Mushfiq Ul Anam (Assistant Manager,Information Security,Mutual Trust Bank[MTB] ), Mr. Ashik Monuar (Sub-Divisional Engineer, Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd.[DPDC] ), Ms. Ayesha Siddika Anika (Assistant Manager, Digital Catalyst, Genex Infosys Limited), Mr. Maruf Rayhan (Head of Faculty Maintenance, HOP LUN(BD) Ltd, Mr. Md. Sajjad Hossain (Assistant Engineer, Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board[BREB] ). Later, Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan presented the certificates of acknowledgment to the top two groups in the Poster Competition. Finally, he announced the names of the groups who are nominated for the Vice Chancellor’s Award.
The remarkable event wrapped up with a collective photograph, immortalizing the unforgettable moments of the day. The achievement of the entire event was credited to the steadfast backing from the Capstone Project Supervisors across the EEE, CoE, and IPE departments.
