The Department of Public Health at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully organized a UK Certified Training Workshop on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) on Thursday, January 9, 2025, for its Master of Public Health (MPH) students. This milestone event took place on campus, marking the first time such training was conducted by a private university under the Global One Health Framework adopted by Bangladesh.
The workshop attracted 40 students from AIUB and 35 participants from other institutions, all of whom received HACCP training and certification. The training was jointly facilitated by Dr. Muftikhar Ahmed from the Ministry of Agriculture and Dr. Wasif M. Alam, Head of the Department of Public Health at AIUB.
Certificates were distributed by Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Honorable Vice Chancellor of AIUB, in presence of Professor Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
This workshop reflects AIUB’s commitment to academic and professional excellence, equipping students with globally recognized competencies in public health and safety standards.
