Department of Marketing, FBA, AIUB Organizes IMC Workshop for BBA Marketing Major Students

The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), American International University-Bangladesh organized a comprehensive grooming session titled “IMC Workshop for the BBA Marketing Major Students” on 25th August 2026 (Tuesday) to provide students with practical insights into the preparation and production of Television Commercials (TVCs).

The workshop featured hands-on guidance from an advertising agency professional, offering students valuable exposure to the creative, strategic, and production aspects of TVC development. BBA Marketing Major students from the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) and Product Innovation and Management (PIM) specialization courses participated in the session. Mr. H. Ratin Pinku, Associate Media Director, Media Consultants Limited, A Concern of Asiatic 3sixty; and Ms. Nuzhat Tabassum Jarin, Media Executive, MediaCom Beyond Agency (MBA), Asiatic 3sixty, who are also the Alumni of the Department of Marketing, FBA, AIUB, conducted the workshop as the guest speaker and the event associate, respectively.

Mr. Md. Javid Tariq, Director, Office of Placement & Alumni, AIUB, delivered the opening speech, underscoring the significance of industry-academia collaboration and encouraging the Marketing Major students to explore the practical dimensions of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) in real-world settings. The session was further honored by the gracious presence and special address by Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge, Faculty of Business Administration, AIUB, whose insightful remarks enriched the session and inspired the participating students to connect academic knowledge with professional practice.

The event was planned and organized by Mr. Hamidul Islam (Hamid) and Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Associate Professors, Department of Marketing, and Special Assistants, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB, in coordination with Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Director In-Charge, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), and Head, Department of Marketing.

The workshop provided a valuable platform for students to strengthen their practical knowledge, broaden their understanding of the advertising industry, and build confidence in applying marketing communication concepts in professional settings. Such industry-oriented initiatives reflect the Department of Marketing’s continued commitment to providing students with experiential learning opportunities and preparing them for the dynamic and evolving landscape of the marketing and advertising industry.
