The department of Investment Management acquaints students with the investment sector and imparts expertise in financial terminology. The academic department provides diverse academic programs that enable students to investigate their intellectual and personal interests within the finance sector.

The department of Investment Management offers courses such as Negotiation Theory and Practice, Regulations and Investment, Doing Business in Bangladesh, Macroeconomic Conditions for Investment, Economics and Law, Business Risk Management. The curriculum has been meticulously designed to facilitate the development of students' competence and analytical skills and encompasses a comprehensive study of financial markets, regulatory frameworks, accounting principles, economic theories, and statistical methods, which are deemed fundamental for pursuing a profession in the financial services industry. The curriculum of this program is designed to incorporate contemporary and progressive pedagogical approaches that are aligned with the demands of the current century. Furthermore, with extracurricular activities like workshops, study tours and case study analysis competition the program will equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a diverse range of career opportunities in investment management and its associated domains.

The students of this department can further develop by moving forward in their diverse professional programs, such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations. The department, in conjunction with other departments and programs at AIUB, offers students a range of options and resources to achieve success in both their academic and professional pursuits.
