Erasmus+ is part of the Erasmus program, which is a European Union (EU) exchange program established in 1987. Under this program three faculty members of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), visited Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania, from May 31 to June 5, 2024. They are Dr. Farheen Hassan; SFHEA, Professor, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Business Administration and Ms. Nazia Farhana, Assistant Professor, FBA & Program Assessor, AIUB-IQAC. Main objective of the mobility was to widen and strengthen cooperation, exchange know-how, good experiences and practices between Partner Institutions from Erasmus+ Program.
During their visit the faculties held meetings with different offices of the Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). Ms. Audra Dargytė Burokienė, from International Office and Institutional Erasmus+ coordinator, presented the layout of International Office of MRU, and discussed probable collaborations with AIUB. Through their meeting with Dr. Domantas Markevičius, head of the Study Programmes and Quality Assurance Group, AIUB faculties discussed on Internal and External Quality Assurance processes. Good practices from both the institutions were exchanged and appreciated. Meeting with Administration of the Faculty of Public Governance and Business, Dean Prof. Dr. Danguolė Jankauskienė and Vice-Dean for Studies Prof. Dr. Irmantas Rotomskis, opened avenues for student and faculty mobility opportunities for the business school of AIUB. There were discussions of additional future cooperation between the two universities within Erasmus+ programme and other EU programmes (Horizon 2020), national or bilateral programmes, collaborative study programmes and other forms of internationalization. This staff mobility will strengthen internationalization strategies implementation for both the universities involved.
