On June 3, 2026, Faculty of Engineering (FE) of American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) organized Dr. Anwarul Abedin Lecture Series titled The World of Atoms at the Attosecond Time Scale in the form of webinar.   The webinar featured Dr. Anne L'Huillier (Professor of Atomic Physics, Lund University, Sweden), the renowned French-Swedish physicist and recipient of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics, as the keynote speaker. The webinar attracted a large audience comprising faculty members, researchers, students, and science enthusiasts who were eager to gain insights into one of the most groundbreaking areas of modern physics. During her presentation, she introduced the fascinating world of attosecond physics and explained how attosecond pulses of light can be used to observe and measure the motion of electrons within atoms and molecules.

Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB delivered the welcome speech. The event concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, AIUB, who thanked the distinguished speaker for her inspiring presentation and valuable contributions to the global scientific community.
