As part of the social responsibility and commitment to students’ sustainable capacity development, the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB, Representatives went on an academic Outreach Program to Milestone College, Main Campus, Gareeb-e-Newaz Avenue, Uttara, Dhaka, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. The objective of the program was to assist college students in exploring their higher education and career prospects, developing career plans, and preparing for future goals.
A Team from FBA, AIUB comprised of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director of the Graduate Programs (MBA and EMBA); Mr. Hamidul Islam [Hamid], and Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Associate Professors, Department of Marketing, and Special Assistants, Office of Student Affairs (OSA); Milestone Alumni - Ms. Nabila Wahid, Lecturer, Department of Finance, FBA, and Mr. Alrik Mahmud, BBA Student, visited the institution.
Upon arrival at the college premises, Mr. Mizanur Rahman Khan, Vice Principal (Academic), greeted the team members and facilitated the whole program including the students’ sessions and campus facility visits. Mr. Mohammad Ziaul Alam, Principal, Milestone College, delivered an opening speech, introducing the visiting team to the students and teachers. After that, Prof. Dr. Alam addressed the students and delivered his interactive speech on “Higher Studies and Career Orientation for the College Students”. The speech covered various topics, including the general qualities of an excellent student, options for higher education both at home and abroad, key factors in a successful career choice, the benefits and consequences of effective career planning, the journey towards success—struggles, growth opportunities, and others. 400 plus students actively participated in the discussion, showcasing their enthusiasm and interactive skills. Teachers, campus officials, and logistic support team members were also present during the session.
Mr. Hamid, Mr. Stanley, and Ms. Nabila then conducted an interactive business quiz contest on general knowledge and contemporary issues, and prizes were distributed among the winners. Prof. Dr. Alam, on behalf of the visiting team from AIUB, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the college authority, teachers, and the students for arranging the well-disciplined sessions and other facilitations. At the end of the sessions, the visiting team was introduced to Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.), Adviser and Founder, Milestone School & College, who expressed his kind gratitude and appreciated the visiting team members’ efforts in organizing and conducting the program effectively.
The outreach program was organized by the Department of Marketing, FBA, in collaboration with the Department of Finance, FBA, under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Head, Department of Marketing, THM, and IB; and Prof. Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, Undergraduate Program (BBA). The FBA, AIUB, is especially thankful to AIUB Management and Administration for their substantial support in successfully organizing the outreach program.
