Project Title: SEDSS: An Optimized Decision Support System for Choosing the Right SDLC Model in Software Engineering.

Project Summary: The Software Development Life Cycle model, also known as the SDLC model, is the foundation of any software engineering project that manages the whole process of software from planning to maintenance. Choosing the right SDLC model is mandatory for every software engineering project. Although to make the best decision regarding the choice of SDLC model, it is necessary to take into account several factors and thorough analysis, such as, whether the project needs a high budget or not, how many clear requirements the client has, whether will changes occur frequently while developing the software or not and so on. This procedure requires an enormous amount of time and extensive effort. Sometimes, because of choosing the inappropriate SDLC model, some companies may suffer losses in terms of time, money, quality, and even the project may not become successful. This study aims to propose a Decision Support System for Software Engineering, named ‘SEDSS’ to choose the most accurate SDLC model for any software engineering project in an optimized way with less effort and a shorter time. This research will investigate the need for the Decision Support System in Software Engineering using Systematic Literature Review.
