This paper proposes a straightforward, effective, and time-efficient fuzzy technique for image contrast enhancement (ICE) with vagueness reduction, entropy conservation, and mean brightness preservation. First, it fuzzifies an image with a suitable fuzzifier. Next, it defuzzifies the fuzzified image with an appropriate defuzzifier to obtain the enhanced image. The proposed technique has been evaluated against both conventional and cutting-edge fuzzy and crisp ICE methods. The findings indicate the time efficiency and effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy technique in ICE.
