Functional Bioinnovation

This research group is dedicated to advancing microbiology through innovative solutions that meet the needs of industry, public health, and sustainable biotechnology. Our research is focused on practical applications, including probiotics, immunobiotics, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and food safety, with an emphasis on developing solutions that address the challenges faced by industries and improve human health and food systems. Using cutting-edge laboratory methods, we study the behavior of microorganisms and explore their potential for improving human health, enhancing food safety, and combating antimicrobial resistance. Through advanced diagnostics, microbial identification, fermentation processes, and molecular techniques, we work to discover and develop bioinnovations that contribute to safer, more sustainable practices in healthcare and the food industry.
