The Department of Accounting, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), organized a Financial Accounting Presentation Competition for the students of the Financial Accounting course on September 10, 2025. This competition was open to all first-year students enrolled in the Financial Accounting course, with participants selected based on their performance in the midterm exam. A total of 50 students participated in the competition. Faculty members from the Accounting Department were actively involved in both the preliminary and final selection rounds, ensuring a smooth and fair process.

The Award Ceremony for the presentation competition took place on September 15, 2025, at Media Studio Annex 2. This ceremony celebrated the outstanding achievements of the participants and was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge, Faculty of Business Administration, along with Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Professor and Director of the MBA Program.

Other faculty members from the Department of Accounting were also present to support and encourage the students.

The competition concluded with the following winners:

• The Champion was Zidan, Sheikh Fahim.
• The 1st Runner-up was Ruhama, Sharfin.
• The 2nd Runner-up was Safkat Kabir.
• Arpita, Aisha Ahmed and Motin, Md. Niaz Al received Special Mention for their exceptional presentations.

The top winners received crests, while all participants were awarded certificates of participation. This competition aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) and Ensuring Quality Education (SDG 4).

The presentation competition was organized by Ms. Saeeda Tajrian and Mr. Siam Mohammad, Lecturers of the Accounting Department, with full support from Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Professor and Head of the Department of Accounting.

The Department of Accounting extends its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director of the Undergraduate Program (BBA), for her overall guidance and support for the event, as well as to the Management of the University for providing invaluable assistance in making the event a success.
