Grand Finale of AIUB Business Talents 2012

< table> < table> AIUB Business Talents (ABT) is an annual event organized by AIUB Business Club (ABC) since 2009. This is an Intra AIUB Case Solving and Business Plan Contest which aims to provide an integrated learning experience to bring out the analytical and real world business plan creation skills among participating students of the Business Administration and to prepare them for the local and international Business Contests (e.g. Battle of Minds; BrandWitz; HSBC YEA). This year, the event was sponsored by CMC Textiles.
AIUB Business Talents 2012 was Inaugurated on June 11 with a Grooming Session for the participating teams. The 1st round of was held on June 14, which was composed of Business Case Solving and Presentation by the participating teams and winning teams from the first round had to present a Basic Business Plan on a given industry in the 2nd round on June 18. Honorable faculties from Business Administration Mr. Kamrul Bari, Stanley S Rodrick, Nikhil Chandra Shil, Mahreen Mamoon and Hafsa Maryam were in the judges’ panel of these two rounds. In the Grand Finale held on July 4, the top 4 teams qualified from the second round, - ‘Avant Garde’, ‘Invincible’, ‘Ice & Fire’ and ‘The Last Survivors’ had to present a detailed presentation of their business plan. In the judges’ panel for the final round, there was Mohammad Zakaria Masud (Head of Department, Accounting), Md. Dulal Mia (Head of Department, Finance), Shibli Zobair (Head of Department, Marketing & Operations Management) and Farheen Hasan (Head of Department, Human Resource Management). After a great battle, team ;Ice & Fire’ was announced as the winner of the title “AIUB Business Talents 2012”. Team ‘Avant Garde’ and ‘The Last Survivors’ secured consecutively the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner up position. The award for the Best Performer was won by Shuvin Tahmid Tazwar from team ‘Ice & Fire’. The Chief Guests for Grand Finale Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva (Dean of Business Administration), Dr. AHM Ehsanul Huda Chowdhury (Associate Dean of Business Administration), Dr. Nisar Ahmed (Director, MBA program) and give away the certificates and trophies to the winners and gratitude their thanks to CMC Textiles. They also congratulate to AIUB Business Club for successfully organizing this event.
