IEEE AIUB Student Branch New Member Orientation 2013

 
IEEE AIUB Student Branch organized an orientation program for the new members on Thursday, 13th June, 2013. The event was started by Shafquat Anwar Abeer, the Vice Chair of IEEE AIUB Student Branch, giving an overview of IEEE, the formation of IEEE Bangladesh section and the branch activities so far. Due to the signing ceremony of MOU between AIUB and Pi Labs Bangladesh LTD, IEEE AIUB Student Branch Counselor Md. Abdur Rahman, Asst. Prof. & Head (UG) of Department of EEE, was not able to inaugurate the orientation program. But he released a note where he welcomed all the new members and praised the activities of branch.  The Executive Bodies and the volunteers of IEEE AIUB Student Branch then introduced themselves to the new members and a motivating speech from Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan, Asst. Prof. & Special Asst. (OSA), accentuating what the branch has accomplished so far, its impact on the students and the role of the IEEE community in order to shape the future of the students. Laila Nawsheen Manzoor, Lecturer & Special Assistant Department of EEE praised about the activities of AIUB IEEE Student Branch. Finally, Almeer Ahsan Asif, the Chair of IEEE AIUB Student Branch, who talked about the benefits of IEEE membership and the resources available to students and the future prospect of the branch. Proceedings went on as is customary at such events with member ID cards, ribbons and food being given out to the new members of IEEE AIUB Student Branch.
