On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Faculty of Engineering organized a seminar titled “IGNITE: Turning Ideas into Impact” at the Auditorium, D-Building, American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) supported by AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES). The program began at 4:00 PM and focused on inspiring final year capstone project students to transform innovative ideas into meaningful ventures through strategic thinking, sustainability, and entrepreneurial leadership.

Mr. Fahim Shahriar (CEO & Co-Founder, SustainLaunch Labs; Impact Pioneer ’24, Swedish Institute), initiated the session by introducing SustainLaunch Labs’ mission, portfolio, and innovation approach while interacting with the audience. Then, Mr. Rubaiyat Haque (Chief Information Officer, BoT Engineers) shared valuable insights on his company’s work, operations, and the practical role of technology-driven solutions in solving real-world problems.

Toward the end of the session, Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Professor, Director Faculty of Engineering) presented tokens of appreciation to the speakers for their contributions. The seminar concluded with a group photo, symbolizing collaboration, learning, and the students’ enthusiasm to pursue impactful innovation in their future careers.
