The Department of Accounting under the Faculty of Business Administration at American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully conducted a quiz competition entitled “Mastering Managerial Minds: A Quiz Competition on Managerial Accounting” on December 28, 2025, at Annex 3. The program was thoughtfully designed to strengthen students’ analytical capabilities and deepen their conceptual grasp of managerial accounting, while fostering critical evaluation and prompt decision-making within a competitive academic setting.

Participants were selected on the basis of their midterm academic performance. The competition evaluated students’ understanding of managerial accounting principles, analytical tools, and their application in managerial and business decision-making contexts. The event created a dynamic and intellectually stimulating platform where students demonstrated subject proficiency, precision, and effective time management under competitive conditions.

Ms. Ummul Rokaiya Disha secured the Champion position by displaying outstanding subject command, logical clarity, and analytical accuracy. The First Runner-up position was attained by Mr. Amm Farhan Rahman, whose performance was marked by consistency and strong analytical insight. Mr. Jubyar Hossain Toha achieved the Second Runner-up position, reflecting notable problem-solving skills and sound conceptual understanding.

The award distribution ceremony took place on December 30, 2025, at the AIUB Media Studio. During the ceremony, crests were presented to the winners in recognition of their exceptional performance, while certificates of participation were conferred upon all competitors in appreciation of their enthusiasm, commitment, and active participation.

The occasion was honored by the esteemed presence of Professor Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, Graduate Program, whose attendance significantly enhanced the stature and importance of the event.

The competition was jointly organized by Ms. Sazia Afrin, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Saeeda Tazrian, Lecturer, of the Department of Accounting, under the overall guidance and supervision of Professor Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Head, Department of Accounting, AIUB.

This academic endeavor underscores the Department’s enduring dedication to promoting academic excellence, critical thinking, and professional readiness among students, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
