The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB, organized a student-centric competitive event titled “Poster Competition on Branding Bangladesh–Fall 2025-2026 Semester” for the students of the Principles of Marketing course under the BBA Program. The event was held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, in the lobby between Annex 2 and Annex 3 of the AIUB campus.
A total of 14 teams from two sections of the course participated in the competition. During an enthusiastic and colorful exhibition session, the teams showcased their creative posters before a respected jury panel, distinguished guests, faculty members, and fellow students. Each team worked on a selected district of Bangladesh, highlighting key businesses and popular products, famous food items, culture and customs, travel destinations and tourism opportunities, historical places and points of interest, renowned personalities, and other unique features of the district. The event provided students with a practical platform to apply marketing concepts creatively while promoting the diverse branding potential of Bangladesh.
The poster exhibition and presentation session was officially inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Head of the Departments of Marketing, IB, and THM, in the presence of faculty members and students from the Faculty of Business Administration. The event was honored by the kind presence of several distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director of the Graduate Programs, FBA; Prof. Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director of the Undergraduate Program, FBA; and Ms. Bohi Shajahan, Sr. Asst. Prof. and Head of the Dept. of Finance, FBA.
The jury panel comprised Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Associate Professor, Dept. of Marketing, FBA, and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB; and Ms. Nusrat Nowreen Srabonty, Lecturer, Dept. of Management, FBA. The jury evaluated the participating teams based on multiple criteria, including poster design and visual appeal, content coverage and information quality, presentation and communication skills, and overall contribution and group dynamics, particularly in their responses to questions about their designed posters. At the conclusion of the event, the jury members and distinguished guests announced the winners of the competition. They presented certificates and gift packs to the members of the Champions and the other winning teams.
The event was initiated and organized by Mr. Hamidul Islam Hamid, Associate Professor, Dept. of Marketing, FBA, and Special Assistant to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB. The Department of Marketing, FBA, extends its sincere gratitude to the Office of Student Affairs and the concerned administrative officials of AIUB for providing comprehensive logistical support and services that contributed to the successful organization of the event.
