Presentation on Supply Chain Management with ISCEA Certification Program

Sunday 21 December 2014 Department of Operations Management organized an in-class lecture session on Supply Chain Management & ISCEA Certification Program, on December 7th, 2014 @ 6:30-8:00 PM in Campus # 5, Room # 555. Mr. Ejazur Rahman, Regional Chief Executive Officer - International Supply Chain Educational Alliance (ISCEA-Asia), presented and the valuable key resource person for the lecture session. The target audiences were the MBA students enrolled in Major courses of Operations Management such as “Supply Chain Planning and Control” and “Project Management”.  The session was planned and hosted by Ashfaque A. Mohib, Assistant Professor, Department of Operations Management. The objective of this session was to advance the student’s knowledge on Supply Chain Management and to guide them towards achieving ISCEA Certification. Mr. Sultanul Nahian Hasnat, Assistant Professor, Department of Operations Management and members of Dean’s office & VUES were also present in the in class seminar. ISCEA, The International Supply Chain Education Alliance, with its headquarter in the USA, conducts many workshops to improve the knowledge of Manufacturing and Service industry professionals worldwide in area of Total Supply Chain Management. The mission of ISCEA is to be a single source for Total Supply Chain Knowledge through Education, Certification, and Recognition. ISCEA is the developer of internationally recognized certification programs of Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCM), Certified Supply Chain Analyst (CSCA), Certified Lean Master (CLM), and Certified RFID Master (RFIDSCM). ISCEA is the governing body for the PTAK Prize. The members of ISCEA hold mid to upper supply chain management positions in Global 2000 companies. It is notable to mention that at least six MBA students from Operations Management Department have received their CSCA certificates after completion of regular AIUB Supply Chain Management course and ISCEA workshop with International online exam.   At the end of the session, Mr. Ashfaque A. Mohib presented Mr. Ejazur Rahman with a certificate of appreciation and a gift pack, which were endorsed by Mr. Zobair Shibli, Head of Department of Operations Management, and Professor Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, AIUB.
