The AIUB Esports Club organized a seminar titled “The Pathway to Game Development and the Future of Industry” on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall of American International University-Bangladesh. The seminar focused on the expanding field of game development and aimed at providing students with insights into the industry, its career opportunities, and the development process behind modern games.
The program began with an introductory session highlighting the growing significance of the gaming industry in the global digital economy and its emerging prospects in Bangladesh. The seminar featured distinguished speakers from Aloukik Studio, namely Shihab Nur Nabil and Shams Parvez Arka. The speakers shared their professional experiences and discussed various aspects of the game development industry, including required technical skills, creativity, teamwork, and adaptability. They also encouraged students to explore career opportunities in both local and international gaming sectors. Mr. Sharfuddin Mahmood, Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs, and the mentor of AIUB Esports club was also present at the seminar.
To encourage student engagement, a quiz competition was arranged following the seminar session. Participants actively took part in the competition, and certificates were awarded in recognition of their participation. Additionally, a dedicated booth was set up at Annex 2, where students had the opportunity to experience and interact with a game developed by Aloukik Studio. A special beta testing opportunity was also provided exclusively for AIUB students, offering them practical exposure to real-world game development projects.
The event was powered by Corsair and supported by the Office of Student Affairs. Their support contributed significantly to the successful execution of the program and strengthened collaboration between academia and the gaming industry.
The seminar concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students. The event served as an effective platform for enhancing students’ understanding of game development and inspiring them to pursue innovative career paths within this rapidly growing industry.
