Engineering Student's Association of Bangladesh (ESAB) organized a seminar titled "Thesis Talk" at EEE Seminar Room, Campus-2, on 1^st December 2014. Motive of this seminar was to give the basic ideas of Thesis on following three topics:

• Ultra wide band (UWB) textile antenna for wireless body area (WBAN) applications-By

Mr. Shahriar Hasan Shehab (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB)

• Performance analysis of co and counter propagation pump scheme based on optimized EDFA parameters -By Sadia Yasmin (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB)
• Performance characteristics of a designed InGaN based 420 nm oxide confined Blue-violet leaser-By Nadia Afroze (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB)

All the three speakers, completed their BSc. & MSc. from AIUB, discussed about their thesis work in the seminar. Dr. M.A. Mannan (Head, Undergraduate Program & Associate Professor, Department of EEE) gave away inaugural speech. He advised students to evaluate knowledge before focussing on a specific field of research. He also emphasized the importance and effects of these types of seminar and thanked ESAB for organising such a seminar. At first, Mr. Shahriar Hasan Shehab, through a multimedia presentation, gave the basic concepts of Ultra wide band (UWB) textile antenna for (WBAN) applications. Then he illustrated its effects, use, advantages and disadvantages. Also, some very helpful examples and researches were shown. Then, Ms. Sadia Yasmin gave the basic knowledge of EDFA parameters then presented her research on performance analysis of co and counter propagation pump scheme based on optimized EDFA parameters. Later on, Ms. Nadia Afroze, described her research on Performance characteristics of a designed InGAN based 420 nm oxide confined Blue-violet leaser. Finally, Mr. Rinku Basak (Head, Graduate Program & Assistant Professor, Department of EEE) gave a thanks note and then along with Dr. M.A. Mannan, handed over crests to the speakers as a symbol of appreciation. Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE & Special Assistant, OSA),  Mr. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE & Special Assistant, OSA) , Mr. A.S.M. Bakibillah (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB), Mr. Rashedul Hoque (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB), Ms. Shahreen Hassan (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB), Ms. Nadia Anam (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB), Ms. Nourin Kadir (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB) , Debajit Saha (Teaching Assistant, Department of EEE, AIUB), Md. Rifat Hazari (Teaching Assistant, Department of EEE, AIUB) & Ms. Sumaiya Umme Hani(Teaching Assistant, Department of EEE, AIUB) were also present at the seminar.
