Students of Law Shine at HROC Legal Skills Boot Camp 2025

The Department of Law of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) proudly represented at the HROC Legal Skills Boot Camp 2025, held on 18 – 20 September 2025 at Suvarnagrama Amusement Park & Resorts, Rupganj, Narayanganj. The three-day residential program, organized by the Human Rights Observation Center (HROC) under the theme “Learn. Link. Lead.” brought together 120 participants from 30 universities across Bangladesh to enhance their legal skills, human rights knowledge, and community engagement.

Led by the Assistant Professor of the Department of Law Ms. Ferdousi Begum, seven participants were there; of whom three students took on key organizing roles in this prestigious event, Tahamina Islam Easha (3rd year, 6th Semester, LL.B) served as Deputy Head of Team Academics and Residential Mentor of Team Yellow, Nur E Jannat Siddiquee (3rd year, 6th Semester, LL.B) contributed as an Officer of Team Event & Protocol Management and Residential Mentor of Team Pink and Nafisa Jahan (3rd year, 6th Semester, LL.B) played a vital role as Officer of Team Press & Media and Residential Mentor of Team Black.

Alongside them, four students participated as camp delegates, showcasing outstanding teamwork and advocacy skills; Mayaz Ahmed (2nd year, LL.B) represented Team Brown, which secured 3rd place in the PowerPoint Presentation activity, Anas Ahmed (2nd year, LL.B) was part of Team Lavender, which performed strongly throughout the camp, Nihita Saha (2nd year, LL.B) represented Team Pink, which earned the prestigious Best Distinction Award and Sazida Selim (2nd year, LL.B) joined Team Yellow, which received the Best Spirit Award.

The Boot Camp provided participants with hands-on training through workshops, simulations, and group activities, focusing on human rights, legal research, and advocacy. AIUB students not only excelled as participants but also contributed to the successful execution of the event as part of the organizing committee. This remarkable participation once again highlights AIUB’s commitment to nurturing future legal professionals equipped with both academic excellence and practical skills to face tomorrow’s challenges.
