The Department of Architecture, AIUB with the help of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC-AIUB) organized a workshop titled “OBE for B. Arch program - IQAC, ARCH – AIUB” as part of capacity building for all the faculty members of the Department of Architecture on Thursday, 4th October 2018. Ar. Naushad Ehsanul Huq, Assistant Professor, Department of Architecture, University of Asia Pacific conducted the workshop as the resource person. The workshop agenda were the basic overview of the outcome-based education and the application of it in the B. Arch Program.
The workshop was embellished by the presence of Dr. Charles C. Villanueva (Vice President and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration; Director, IQAC), Dr. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering), Dr. A.B.M Rahmatullah (Additional Director, AIUB-IQAC) and M. Arefeen Ibrahim (Head, Department of Architecture) among others.
This workshop with sincere potential helped teachers in acquiring knowledge and skills necessary to understand the basic principles and application of outcome-based education. The presentation by Dr. A.B.M Rahmatullah focused on the basic overview of the OBE, while the presentation of Ar. Naushad Ehsanul Huq focused on the application and possible outcome of OBE in architecture curriculum, especially in B. Arch program.
