On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, the Engineering Students’ Association of Bangladesh (ESAB) – AIUB Unit Face organized a hands-on workshop titled “Work Smarter with Microsoft Excel: Learn, Practice and Apply” at Annex-2, Room 2203, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The event brought together 30 enthusiastic participants for an engaging and practical session focused on developing essential Microsoft Excel skills and enhancing data analysis capabilities.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Abir Ahmed (Assistant Professor and Special Assistant (EEE), Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB). The session aimed to enhance participants’ proficiency in Microsoft Excel through structured learning and practical application, helping them improve efficiency and productivity in both academic and professional settings.

During the session, participants were introduced to essential Microsoft Excel features, including logical functions, basic computational formulas, and effective data organization techniques. The instructor provided step-by-step demonstrations of real-world applications, enabling participants to gain practical experience.

The workshop was attended by respected faculty members, including Mr. Md. Shahariar Parvez (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Special Assistant (OSA), AIUB, Mentor, ESAB AIUB Unit Face).

An interactive Question & Answer session followed, where participants actively engaged with the instructor, creating a productive and practical learning environment.

The program concluded with closing remarks by Dr. Md. Ehasanul Haque (Associate Professor, Department Head, Department of Industrial & Production Engineering, AIUB). He expressed appreciation for the instructor’s valuable contribution and praised the active participation of the students. A commemorative crest was presented to Mr. Abir Ahmed as a token of gratitude for conducting the workshop.

At the end of the workshop, e-certificates were distributed among the participants in recognition of their successful completion. The workshop concluded with an official group photograph featuring the instructor, faculty member, and participants, marking the successful completion of the evet and celebrating the collaborative efforts of all involved.
