In order to apply to American International University-Bangladesh as an International student, applicants are required to provide the following items:

1. Admission Form:
Submit the Completed Admission Form http://admission.aiub.edu

2. Information Department Requirements:

a) Academic Records:
i) All certified scanned copies of O’ Levels & A’ Levels / Secondary & Senior High School / High School Diploma / International Baccalaureate [with minimum B grade] the original educational records (Government Recognized Education Board of the respective Country) must be submitted along with the Online Admission Form. If the original copy of this record is written in a foreign language, a certified English translation by the embassy is required.

ii) TOEFL/IELTS/GRE/GMAT/SAT scores are required (as applicable) of all applicants, except those from countries where English is the only official language, as evidence of adequate proficiency in English. The minimum acceptable score for TOEFL and GMAT/GRE is 550, and Minimum score of 1650 in SAT for undergraduate program out of 2400, Minimum score of 1106 in SAT for undergraduate program out of 1600. If English is not First Language, then the applicant MUST Submit Medium of Instruction (MOI).

iii) Submit two letters of recommendation/testimonials from their Respective School / College / Institution with the Online Admission Form.

b) Visa Documentation Records:
If the applicant is applying for Undergraduate / Postgraduate programs from Abroad, then we issue an Offer Letter after successful evaluation of eligibility for the desired program based on their previous educational documents. To process the Admission Form, the applicant MUST submit Visa Letter issued by the Embassy / Immigration Authority. On the other hand, if the applicant is already residing in Bangladesh, then the applicant MUST provide a Valid Passport along with the Valid Student Visa. If the applicant is having a Dependency / Diplomat Visa, then the requirements are subject to a degree of flexibility. If the applicant has done his Bachelors from Bangladesh and is applying for Masters program in American International University – Bangladesh, then the applicant MUST submit Migration Certificate. Invalid / Expired Visa does not adhere to the established admission procedures.

c) Deadline:
In order to apply to American International University-Bangladesh for any of our Fall or Spring Semester as an International student, all applicants are required to apply at least 2 Months prior to the commencement of classes. (Please check the web page for the Commencement Date of each Semester).

d) Application Process:
Upon receipt of all the above items, the applicant's file will be presented to the Concern Department of the American International University-Bangladesh for the admission decision. An Online Admission Examination might take place based on the decision of Concern Department. The applicant will be duly informed of the decision by the Information Department.

3. Admission Department Requirements:

a) All the Original educational documents issued by the respective Government Recognized Education Board.
b) Financial Records:
All international students are required to submit Certification of Financial Records or Bank Statement guaranteeing that they have sufficient funds available to cover the necessary educational and living expenses for completing their studies here at AIUB. The Record or Statement of Accounts can be either in the student's name or the Guardian/Parent(s) name. It should be noted here that Scholarships, financial aid and loans are NOT available to International Students.
c) Medical Records:
A student must submit an authentic document proving that he / she has completed the hepatitis A and B series and must include a tuberculin test.
d) Visa Documentation Records:
All the Original documents of the scanned copies submitted while filling up the Online Admission Form.
e) Police Clearance / Other relevant Documents.

Any discrepancy will be considered as a major disciplinary violation and may lead to cancellation of admission.

4. Special Note:
(a) All International Students are expected to make their own arrangements for housing, however necessary assistance will be provided where applicable or whenever needed.

(b) American International University – Bangladesh has signed an MoU with the Super Hostel (https://superhostelbd.com/), which provides a special percentage of discount for the AIUB students.
(c) After acceptance by the University students are required to fulfill the relevant documentation processing for their Student Visa purposes. The University will not be responsible for arranging Visas for any Foreign Students.
(d) Please be informed that the inclusion of any false information constitutes grounds for dismissal from the University.

5. Logistical Support:
Our Public Relations Department is dedicated to help the Foreign Applicants with their documentation and paperwork related to Visa Processing, Migration Certificate, Offer Letter / Acceptance Letter, Police Verification etc. All the processing needs to be conducted by the Applicant.
