AIUB Signs MoU with Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite

The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and Emilio Aguinaldo College Cavite (EACC), Philippines, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research cooperation between the two institutions. The signing ceremony was held virtually on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 1:30 PM (Manila time), 11:30 AM (Bangladesh time).

The MoU was signed on behalf of EACC by its President, Dr. Jose Paulo E. Campos, with Fr. Ramil Marcos of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and the International Relations Office (IRO) also present. Representing AIUB, the MoU was signed by Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Member of the AIUB Board of Trustees. She was joined by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor; Shama Islam, Assistant Professor & Special Assistant, OSA; and Nazia Farhana, Assistant Professor & Additional Director, AIUB-IQAC.

The partnership covers a wide range of collaborative areas, including joint research initiatives, co-supervision of postgraduate theses, curriculum development, and enrichment of academic programs. It also promotes the organization of seminars, workshops, and conferences, alongside opportunities for cultural and academic exchanges involving students, faculty, and administrative staff. In addition, both institutions have agreed to collaborate on the preparation and sharing of publications, reports, and other academic resources to further support the partnership’s activities.

This five-year agreement reflects a shared commitment to building institutional capacity and promoting cross-border collaboration in education and research. It highlights both institutions’ dedication to fostering a learner-centered, inquiry-driven, and globally relevant academic environment.

Through this partnership, AIUB and EACC aim to create meaningful opportunities for knowledge exchange, enhance academic innovation, and strengthen international networks that will benefit their students, faculty, and wider academic communities.
