On the 10th of June 2024, the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at AIUB organized a vibrant and engaging Freshmen Reception program for the Summer 2023 - 2024 semester at the Multipurpose Hall of AIUB to welcome the newest members of the Economics Department. The program was graced by Prof. Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. The Freshmen Reception program started with a welcome message by Mr. Zahin Syed, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and Mentor of the AIUB Economics Club. The Head of the Economics Department, Dr. Faria Sultana along with esteemed faculty members of the Department were present in the program. Other departmental heads and faculty members also attended the occasion to encourage freshmen students. The Freshmen Reception program was concluded with an enjoyable cultural show, organized by the AIUB Economics Club. The event was a fusion of academic enthusiasm where students showcased their talents through diverse performances. The air was abuzz with excitement, echoing the promise of a dynamic educational journey for these budding economists.
