On Thursday, June 4, 2026, the IEEE AIUB Student Branch in collaboration with the Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA) Bangladesh successfully organized a webinar titled “A Road to Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters (EMJM) & Erasmus Mundus Scholarship.” The webinar aimed to provide students with a clear understanding of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programs and inspire them to pursue higher studies in Europe with fully funded scholarship opportunities.
The program commenced with the inaugural speech by Dr. Gour Chand Mazumder, Assistant Professor, FE and Counselor, IEEE AIUB SB, AIUB. He thanked the IEEE AIUB Student Branch for organizing such an informative session and emphasized the importance of global academic exposure for students. He then invited the distinguished speaker of the session, Mr. Sadad Mahmud, Country Representative–Bangladesh, Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA); Research Engineer, Aalto University, Finland. The speaker began by introducing himself and sharing his academic journey along with his professional experience. During his presentation, he explained the structure of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programs and provided a detailed guideline on the application process, eligibility criteria, and scholarship benefits. Furthermore, he discussed important aspects such as preparing a strong motivation letter, securing recommendation letters, and selecting suitable programs based on individual interests and career goals. He also highlighted the opportunities for cultural exchange and international networking through the Erasmus Mundus program, encouraging students to aim for global excellence.
The webinar concluded with an interactive Q&A session where the speaker addressed various queries from enthusiastic participants, creating an engaging and informative discussion environment.
Following the Q&A session, Dr. Mazumder delivered the closing remarks by thanking the speaker for his enlightening session as well as the IEEE AIUB Student Branch and Erasmus Mundus Association (EMA), for organizing the seminar. Afterwards, he presented a virtual token of appreciation to the speaker.
The event started at 8:00 PM and concluded at 9:30 PM (GMT +6). A total of 140+ participants attended the program.
