Policy Revision: July 10, 2024

The objectives of the AIUB Internationalization Policy focus on strengthening the university’s global engagement by enhancing its academic reputation, visibility, and competitiveness through strategic international partnerships. The policy promotes student and faculty mobility through exchange programs, internships, visiting appointments, and collaborative academic initiatives, while also encouraging the internationalization of curricula by integrating global perspectives, comparative approaches, and cross-cultural learning across academic programs. It further supports the expansion of transnational education opportunities, including joint and dual degree programs as well as virtual and blended mobility models that reflect emerging global trends in higher education.

In addition, the policy aims to advance collaborative research with international institutions to address complex global and regional challenges, while attracting international students, scholars, and faculty to foster a diverse and inclusive academic environment. It emphasizes the development of intercultural competence and global citizenship among students and staff, alongside participation in international academic networks, conferences, and capacity-building initiatives. Overall, these objectives are designed to build sustainable global partnerships and ensure that AIUB remains aligned with evolving international standards, quality assurance practices, and strategic institutional priorities.
