The University-Industry Collaboration (UIC) Policy at AIUB establishes a structured framework to strengthen partnerships between academia and industry to enhance education, research, and innovation. It emphasizes mutually beneficial collaboration that supports experiential learning for students, applied research for faculty, and the commercialization of knowledge through technology transfer and entrepreneurship. The policy also aims to align academic programs with industry needs, reduce skill gaps, and ensure continuous feedback from the job market to keep curricula relevant and evidence based.
Guided by principles such as transparency, academic freedom, mutual benefit, and clear intellectual property management, the policy outlines multiple collaboration models including research partnerships, internships, curriculum development, and professional training. A designated governance body oversees proposal approval, project monitoring, and compliance, supported by formal procedures for agreements and evaluation. AIUB further promotes and recognizes successful collaborations while ensuring regular policy review, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable industry engagement, national capacity building, and real-world impact.
