AIUB SDG Activity Report 2023 | SDG 4: Quality Education

 

American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) demonstrates a strong commitment to SDG4: Quality Education through inclusive policies, community-oriented programs, teaching excellence initiatives, education-focused research, and strategic partnerships. The university’s approach aligns with the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings criteria by ensuring access and inclusion for marginalized students, providing lifelong learning opportunities to the wider community, maintaining high-quality teaching and curriculum through continuous improvement, conducting research on education, and building partnerships to improve educational outcomes. The following report details AIUB’s key efforts and evidences in each area, showcasing its dedication to equitable and quality education for all.

American International University–Bangladesh has integrated Sustainable Development Goal 4 into its core functions and ethos. The evidence presented – from inclusive admissions policies and scholarships, to community education outreach, robust teaching quality systems, education-focused research, and collaborative partnerships – collectively demonstrates AIUB’s comprehensive commitment to “Quality Education”. The university not only provides high-caliber education to its own students, but also works tirelessly to extend educational opportunities and improvements to society at large, thereby fulfilling its responsibilities under the THE Impact Rankings criteria for SDG4. AIUB’s strategies and initiatives ensure that education at AIUB is accessible, lifelong, student-centered, continuously improving, and widely shared, truly embodying the spirit of SDG4 in action. The university will continue to build on these successes, aiming for even greater impact in nurturing educated, empowered communities in Bangladesh and beyond.
