The American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) is committed to encouraging women to pursue education and careers in fields where they are traditionally underrepresented, such as science, technology, engineering, and energy. Through outreach programs, university collaborations, and partnerships with community organizations and NGOs, AIUB regularly engages with schools and local communities to raise awareness and inspire young women to explore diverse academic disciplines. The university also participates in international platforms and networks that promote women’s advancement in STEM education and professional sectors. As part of this effort, AIUB collaborates with initiatives like the WePOWER Network, whose pillar 1: STEM Education, out of 5 pillars, supports women’s capacity-building and leadership in the energy field. These collective activities—ranging from workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs to community-based engagement—reflect AIUB’s broader mission to foster inclusivity, equal opportunity, and gender balance across all areas of higher education.
